My 1 1/2 yr olds were born 9 weeks early and have craniosynostosis (premature closure of the skull). BOTH kids had their 7 hour cranial vault repair surgery done exactly 1 year ago. We live at Children's hospital of Wisconsin. My 1.5 yr old daughter just had 2 surgeries at once on Tuesday. <BR/>My 4.5 daughter has Chiari Malformation (Chiari malformations (CMs) are structural defects in the cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls balance. When the indented bony space at the lower rear of the skull is smaller than normal, the cerebellum and brainstem can be pushed downward.
